In several years of using Airbnb, I don't think I've ever written a negative review prior to this. But our experience with this flat and the management was less than ideal. While the apartment was clean, the check-in instructions were clear, and it is indeed walkable to so many great restaurants and attractions in the heart of Boston, the air conditioning did not work. We contacted the management and they were initially attempting to help, sending someone to repair. But the AC started blowing warm air after only a few moments after the repair. When we tried to mitigate this, we were ultimately met with silence. This included our request for a partial refund, which we thought would be fair.
Excellent location but run down interior with multiple missing/broken fixtures and window blinds. Terrifically dirty windows. Had problems with both toilets and host was very responsive but issues persisted. Chose the unit for its two bathrooms but one was usually out of commission with my poor husband working to fix it. Clean but very loud at night with window a/c units but thankfully comfortable linens and beds. Large living space. Could be great with some basic investment to upgrade bathrooms and fixtures.
