  • Needs work but great location. Positive: The location was great. Easy walk to historic sites and subway stations. Bed was comfortable. Code access was easy. Living area was spacious. Negative: Laundry is NOT in the apartment but 2 flights upstairs and required $6.50/load in quarters, which were difficult to get at stores in the area and the machine ate multiple quarters before operating. Washer smelled moldy. The listing was misleading by implying laundry was in the apartment. Staff attempted to provide additional wash cloths but repeatedly delivered hand towels. On the 3rd request they told us wash cloths were not part of our rental. Pillows were too hard. Bedroom was cramped. Sofa was uncomfortable. TV and several outlets didn't work. Tub was undergoing repairs. Bathroom sink was cracked. Lamp in bedroom was broken.

Apartment shabby, bath chipped, sink cracked, black plastic stuck on the wall to cover broken tiles. No extractor fan in bathroom. Towel rail broken so no where to hang a towel. photos taken of same. Old malfunctioning Venetian blinds in living room The message from the host about the unreliable lift was a major cause of concern. There was an out of date maintenance record displayed in the lift. ? There was a Message from the Host disclaiming liability in the event the lift doesn’t function. The option of a narrow winding staircase is not a safe option if you’re carrying a heavy suitcase. Sleep disturbance on 2 of my 3 nights, due to noisy revellers returning to the unmanned, adjoining carpark. There was a row on the Saturday night at 1.30am. Sockets for TV not working. Filter coffee machine not working, so I wasted my coffee. Surely a modern functional coffee maker could be provided. ? Very disappointed . Apartment needs an upgrade. I couldn’t recommend the Apartment for reasons abo

  • I’m going to give a complete run down of my review of this apartment. I’m going to start with the pros because we always have to start with the positives 😊. First, this place is in a prime location especially if you plan on walking to different tourist destinations. The bed was also very comfortable and the host was very quick with his responses. However, there are some cons that I think are very important to mention. I entered the apartment on Monday night and there was trash piled to the ceiling right outside of the apartment. The trash was just sitting in the hallway and remained there till the end of my stay on Thursday. This trash then of course attracted fruit flies that were all throughout the entire apartment. The apartment was not as clean or as updated as it appears in the pictures. The dresser was missing a drawer, there were holes in the wall (there was one that was poorly patched up), there was a smell of smoke or something through the apartment, and there was a streak across the tv that seemed to go in and out. In addition, as you would expect from a city it was very noisy within the apartment from garbage trucks and cars early in the morning. Lastly, if you do bring a car make sure to plan what you are going to do with regards to parking because there is not a lot of street parking and the parking lots are very expensive (about $40 for the day).

Honestly, it wasn’t terrible, but it was inconvenient and disappointing. It was my first time in the city of Boston and i was so excited to go! the city was beautiful and the location of this place is perfect, but that’s kinda where the good ends. When i arrived, the fridge wouldn’t turn on, the air didn’t seem to be working because there was no airflow whatsoever coming out of the vents. There was a big, bright billboard outside of the living room windows which would’ve been fine if the blinds weren’t tied up making them unusable. the tub drained so slow to the point where the water was up to your ankles 2 minutes into your shower & by the time you were done brushing your teeth the sink was about to overflow. There was also a weird brown stain on the mattress cover and the smoke detector was on the dining room table instead of on the ceiling for some reason. I contacted the host with all these issues, & they did come out the next day and fix some of them, but not the air. the place was SO hot & sleeping was so terribly uncomfortable we had to open the windows, that had no screens in them, in the bedroom because we couldn’t stand it! after i was told they’d come check out the apartment for 20 to 30 minutes that’s the last time i was contacted & communication was zero from there. overall just very disappointing & the worst experience i’ve had on airbnb.

Great location and responsive hosts but poorly maintained unit. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an overflowing industrial-sized trash can outside the door which permeated throughout the apartment. The photos and description depict a bright, clean and updated space. The carpet was stained, floor tiles coming up in the kitchen, the furniture is dated and worn, bathroom tiles coming off the wall and the bathtub is worn stained. Several walls are patched and not repainted. Overall disappointed with our stay.

  • First night I slept on the couch because I could not figure out how to turn off a flickering light in the bedroom. I contacted the property owner to let them know this was happening, I also informed them there is a garbage can directly next to the front door that smelled, each time we came in and out of the apartment we were having to swat away gnats. They were unable to send someone out until the next day to fix the light, which they did, but the garbage can was never moved. The second night was fine there, the noise of the neighborhood was tolerable. I'm assuming is worse during the summer months but you can hear EVERYTHING in that apartment partially because of just the thickness of the windows partially because with the window AC units its basically a thin piece of whatever vinyl that doesn't reduce any noise. The final night there was absolutely awful. This was a Friday night and this location is right next to a parking lot, some people had decided to crank up music around 2AM which we could not only hear but we could also FEEL in the apartment. This listing says that you can request ear plugs and/or a white noise machine, the owners know this is a potential problem, these items should be available in the apartment not via request. Contacting at 8pm didn't get a light fixed, they were not going to have someone swing by at 230am with noise deterrent and honestly, NOTHING would have helped this noise. We finally had to call 911 for some assistance.
