Do not book here. Although the host is very responsive and the flat is well located near Boston Common it is next door to a night club, so expect a lot of noise on weekends (check the venue for events). First night (Sunday) there was a constant (machinery ?) noise outside the bedroom windows until 730 am. Constant noise due to ongoing works in the street during the day. The flat is very dark (unlike the photographs) as all windows look out to stairwells, quite depressing to stay there, you have to leave the lights on all day. It is in need of refurbishment (old fashioned kitchen with noisy fridge) especially the bathroom. Inconvenient check in and early check out times and $50 to get in 3 hours early or leave 3 hours late. Not good value for money and to be avoided.
Unfortunately very disappointing… I am not sure how the pictures where changed, but the apartment was not as good as it seems in the pictures: it was very dark and in an overall bad shape. Wifi had problems too. And construction work started very loudly at 7am. Only the location was good. I am sorry but I have to say, I would not recommend this place. The price is exorbitant and the place was definitely not worth it.
Very noisy when the night bar opens.
A perfectly nice and simple place but be prepared to be awake til 3am because of the loud bass coming from the night club next door. The bass was so deep and loud the radiators in the apartment would literally vibrate. This is likely only a problem on the weekends but it was impossible to sleep with this loud noise. Steven was very nice and responsive, the place was clean and efficient-I just wish the description had warned me about the extremely loud club next door.
1. Location: fantastic, close to everything 2. Noise: Understandable given the location 3. Cleaning: Some hair in the bathtub, but the main problem is the house mites. I have dust mite allergies and I have never had such severe reactions like I have from staying there. Washing all beddings in hot water would be sufficient enough to kill the house mites but obviously they did not do that. I didn’t really sleep while staying at this place because I couldn’t breathe well. 4. Unsafe factors: A giant glass lamp was placed on a small side table in the living room. When I tripped on one of the legs of yhat side table, the glass lamp fell off and broke into pieces. Thankfully I was not injured but I had to pay $150 for that lamp. It was not a safe location to put a giant glass lamp in the beginning. 5. Wifi: provided with multiple wifi options but often none of them work well.
Excellent location but run down interior with multiple missing/broken fixtures and window blinds. Terrifically dirty windows. Had problems with both toilets and host was very responsive but issues persisted. Chose the unit for its two bathrooms but one was usually out of commission with my poor husband working to fix it. Clean but very loud at night with window a/c units but thankfully comfortable linens and beds. Large living space. Could be great with some basic investment to upgrade bathrooms and fixtures.
